Er. Surendra Katwal studied at Institute of Engineering, Thapathali Campus, Thapathali, Kathmandu for his BE (Civil) degree. He was honored for his outstanding result. He secured master degree in Earthquake Engineering from Institute of Engineering, Thapathali Campus, Thapathali, Kathmandu.  He has experience in design of civil engineering structures, Seismic performance analysis and retrofitting design of masonry and RC structures. He has participated in many Civil, Structural and Earthquake Engineering trainings and seminars. He is currently working as a structural Engineer for retrofitting and reconstruction of many civil infrastructure (Heritage structure, monuments, temples etc.). He is also doing research in seismic retrofitting of low strength masonry and seismic risk analysis along with seismic design of structures.
